Our Facility Nestled tranquilly at the foot of Mount Timpanogos, overlooking the scenic lake of Utah Valley, is the AYS group home. With the horse corrals behind the property, including those agricultural smells and sounds, and the magnificent architecture of the temple seen from the front yard, this is, by all accounts, one of the most peaceful and serene group homes in the state. Located just south of the point of the mountain, a few short miles from Interstate-15 in north Utah County, this is also one of the most easily accessible locations for case managers and families to visit and do business. The AYS Timpanogos Shadows Group Home is located in American Fork, Utah, which is a community in Utah County, in the Provo-Orem metro area. As clients arise each morning in the group home, they complete their personal daily chores and then participate in goal setting. They attend a full day of classes at the fully accredited Summit High School on weekdays while being supervised by group home staff. Throughout the week they can expect to participate in meal preparation, skill development services, individual therapy, group therapy and other therapeutic activities. as an incentive for clients to make progress in the program, they have the opportunity to participate in Super Saturday activities on and off campus, which may include hiking, movies, shopping, attending sports events, etc. |
